Getting to know your Realtor

Whether you are buying or selling a home, it's one of the biggest investments of your life. Choosing a Realtor that is right for you has never been more important.

Heres a little about me, Colleen:

Hi, my names Colleen Caruso. I was born and raised in North Bay, Ontario so I have immense knowledge of the city and surrounding areas. I have been in the business for over 12 years but actively trading since May of 2014. I can honestly say that I have found my dream job. For as long as I could remember I had wanted to be a teacher. I remember standing up at my grade six graduation and telling the auditorium that I was going to be a teacher one day. Well, things changed when I was hired as a part-time receptionist at a busy real estate office in North Bay. Working part time while finishing my Bachelor of Arts (4 years honours) was when I began questioning my future. Real Estate seemed so interesting to me but it was hard to imagine myself as anything other than an elementary school teacher. So, pushing though, I went on to get my Bachelor of Education degree. When I finished school and it was time for me to go out in the real world, I was honest with myself and decided to persue my education to become a Real Estate Sales Representative. Well here I am! Over 8 years into the business and I wouldn't change it for anything. Real Estate is my passion, it is my calling.

"I think its so important to get to know your Realtor on a personal as well as a professional level. The best part about finding a Realtor for life, is also finding a friend for life as well."

I have two children. Stella who is a sassyy  little 5 year old, and a beautiful baby boy, Giovanni (We call him Gio for short) who has just turned 3. It's safe to say life is nothing less than chaotic but I wouldn't change it for the world. I am still working full-time in my career all while raising two tiny humans.

My passion is Real Estate. Not just selling it, but buying and selling it myself. In 2017 I bought a foreclosure home and completely renovated it top to bottom. In the summer of 2019 I sold it and built a brand new home in a gorgeous subdivision. I've been here just over a year and am already wondering what my next move will be. At the beginning of 2021, I purchased my first investment and have just purchased my second investment property set to close early this year.

In the summer, you'll find me playing baseball, or heading out to the cottage for some boating, fishing & family time. Winters are spent playing hockey and (hopefully) travelling to somewhere a little warmer. Speaking of travelling, its one of my favourite things to do! I have been overseas to England, Belgium & the Netherlands. I've spent time travelling in the winter to Florida, Dominican Republic and Jamaica. I have travelled to Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island & I was lucky enough to be able to travel within our own beautiful country again and head out to explore Alberta- one of my favourite places yet!
